Kate graduated from Wolverhampton University in 1993 with a B.A.Hons in glass design. Since then, after a period in Philadelphia working with a glass artist Kate has been working with glass and light.
Kate creates sculptural lighting installations as well as sculpture. She has been inspired by carnivorous plants and false teeth, more recently the environment, particularly fungi and the atmosphere around us specifically rain.

Her experience includes working on commissioned work since 2001. She has also been
working within the lighting industry since 1997 particularly installing neon for film, TV, and theatre. Kate is experienced in organising and curating art shows through her involvement with Temple Arts Group, and The Title.
For commissioned work Kate is involved in liaising with clients and architects from initial
consultation to design, fabrication and installation. She has experience working as public artist on regeneration projects creating art work in collaboration with the local community.
